Shydel James is a lifestyle writer, editor and content strategist. He’s written about entertainment, culture, travel, food, health and personal finance for a range of print and digital publications over a 15-year career: Ebony, Vibe, Jet, Uptown, Upscale, Essence, King, The Daily Meal, and Black Enterprise, among others. James has held staff writing and editing positions at Upscale and New Jersey Institute of Technology and oversaw content production in the Career Management Center at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. His experience also includes a deep understanding of brand storytelling and content marketing for higher education and distilling complex research into engaging stories for lay audiences.
